The Festival Song Themes

Postby IAHM-COL » Wed Nov 04, 2015 9:36 pm

Now the Festival is just a few days away. This Thread reminds of the "Flightgear Festival Song Themes" of the past editions
(yup. "Official" ones)

If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it?

If it happens at night play Rimsky. And ATC loses control the last few moments of In the hall of the Mountain King, while being appropriate for the situation, would not be appreciated by controllers. ;)

That was the first Festival's song theme, back one year ago.
This year Festival Song is already chosen, and it will be revealed on the exact time the event begins (this Sat at 0Z!)

:P

(I'm Sorry you dislike the choice of 'Orphée aux enfers')
On the other hand, the busyness of the traffic expected on a festival may be indeed reminescent of the Peer Gynt's suite theme

Well, it's Switzerland, so something from Wilhelm Tell would be fitting, wouldn't it?

Then let me try again: Since the other part of the Festival is Austria, how about something "waltzish". One of the Strauss' maybe?
