I was planning on following live weather till say 'x' nm from MHTG, then switch to a custom METAR. But its your decision, you can do as you wish
I just wanted to make it more challenging.

Oh yes, the 200 LR is the baddest 777. Theoretically it has the strongest engines and it is short and relatively light. Therefore you can get great climb rates (with not too much fuel on board).
For the event: I never know if i am in or out. So i do not put these things in my agenda. Best is to bump this subject 2 days in advance. Then i remember it is there. And if i am home, i'll attend.

Yes, if i can attend, the biggest chance is that i come with 777-200LR. Apart from the flight model, It has also some luxuries in the cockpit that make life just a tad little easier. Like in descent an auto-switch from mach to ias when 320 kts is reached, and qnh swap back and forth between the set value and standard (most planes loose the set value when choosing standard).
