Currently completely rated continents are:

- Europe
- Asia
- Africa
- Australia
- North America

Europe had some 500 airports with buildings, the other rated continents about 200 together.

Kind regards, Vincent

Most of the experienced pilots in FG (from memory) tend to stay in and around Europe. People in the US tend to go to the major airfields IE. LAX JFK DFW IAH DEN SEA PDX PHX LAS SFO. and do cross countries between them. But this may have changed now.

I tried to go to MUGV, But:

- It is not in flightgear (not choosable at startup)
- It is not on mpmap
- There are no buildings in the terrasync database

What interesting is exactly there?

Kind regards, Vincent

Airport quality ratings are now available and usable all over the world. Except for the province around Buenos Aires. There i still have to visit dozens of GA airfields with the tiny DR-400.

Mission completed. It took me about half a year to visit each of the almost 1000 airports with buildings in terrasync, in order to supply them with a rating. That is intensive flying to on average 6 airports per day, if i would have flown every day.

Some statics about the number of airports in each level:

Code: Select all

5 Realistic : 159
4 Immersive : 415
3 Incomplete: 130
2 Bare      :  84
1 Defect    : 152

Total       : 940

A bit more description about the levels is here:

With the ratings you do not have to be disappointed anymore to find just a single hangar when you arrive at a large advertised airport. Just select level 4 (immersive) and better (the checkbox before it), and you should have a good experience at each selected airport. It spares you unnecessarily visiting half of the airports, which are a lot less interesting.

Kind regards, Vincent

Uruguay still seems to be off the grid. At least it was when I last flew around there.
