Hey all-- I plan to be there. I've always wanted to visit the Island of Samos because of the their most famous personality you have never heard of, Aristarchus of Samos. I'll post more on him below. Right now, I'm still trying to decide which aircraft to fly. I flew the 757 on our last "Single-Aisle" excursion, but think it may be too big even for this airport.

I'll let you know in a day or so.

Roughly 2000 meters / 6000 ft runway length should be good for most single aisles. There are pics on the internet of 757's on Samos. But i do not know if they are maybe special performance models. Any 737/a320 size surely works out.

Kind regards, Vincent

Pretty sure the A330 or B767 is allowed aswell.

If by this you mean, in this event? then. Those are not the best examples of narrow bodies.

If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it?

According to the runway available, the length is long enough to handle the a330 and B767. Most probably with a reduced weight. Only problem is the runway width, as even the A320 is at the limit of its normal width allowance. So yes, in this event, and no, they are not narrow bodies. Anyways, I will take the IDG A320, as it is the most realistic plane in FG, so it gives me the most realism.

cool choice. I regret I had not have an opportunity to test the Itouchpod's group later progress in the A32x family.

I think Charlie meant to say which are the largest planes to land there, in relation to SkyBoats worries about the 757. Not advising anyone to use them in this event.

Btw, if there is anything a tautology, this is it :-)

Hi guys
I have a really bad news (well... not too bad for me)

I have exactly in 16Z a real life flying lesson... just heard about it from my father. I will miss the event

Sorry

Kind Regards,
Josh

LMAO. It must stand correct, due to the reiterative nature of the statement, but OTOH the most realistic FG plane can very well still give a very unrealistic experience. Right?
