This is the official thread for converting the Lockheed L-188 Electra's engines to the Allison T56 501-D13 turboprops from the Pratt and Whitney T2800 Double Wasp piston engines.
SkyBoat (DrDavid) and MV-DP are the lead developers of this project. Contact one of us if you would like to participate.
The Workshop Respository is: https://github.com/DrDavid/Lockheed-L-188.git
The above respository has been forked from the original FGMEMBERS so that files can be built and tested and when ready, then copied to the FGMEMBERS respository that has the working model of the aircraft.
The FGMEMBERS respository with the working model of the aircraft is: https://github.com/FGMEMBERS/Lockheed-L-188.git
Don't get the two respositories confused!

If I'm not busy, come to my workshop on Mumble, maybe I can help?
Re: Converting the Lockheed L-188 Engines to Allison Turboprops
Why is this still a sticky/announcement?

Is this project still going on?
Re: Converting the Lockheed L-188 Engines to Allison Turboprops
I wouldn't be surprised if the project was stopped very long ago. There hasn't been an actual post about the project since your offer to help in mid-2016.

Re: Converting the Lockheed L-188 Engines to Allison Turboprops
Hi guys-- This project isn't dead, but moving very slow. Most of the engine work has been completed, including proper turboprop sounds. The principals are Martien VDP, Swamp and myself. Admittedly, we need to get the plane in its updated form onto FGMEMBERS. Martien has been working on animating the doors and stairs as he has time. We just haven't done much on it this summer. Our bad!

Skyboat has this project moved along any? I posted earlier in the wrong thread. There is also th P-3 Orion based off of the L-188 I would like to see and I would be willing to help in any way I can with it.
