Can I propose 30 to 35 KTS max. It feels sluggish at five. Like really get me the feeling of go-nowhere.
Like hover you can go places too. Like taxiing to a rwy threshold. stuff like that.

Code: Select all

   <!-- Pitch Adjust -->

      <scheduled_gain>
         <input>T4T/one</input>
         <table>
            <independentVar>fcs/elevator-cmd-norm</independentVar>
            <tableData>
               -1.0    -5
               -0.05   0
               0.05   0
               1.0      5
            </tableData>
         </table>

IN THE HOVER CHANNEL - IMPORTANT

If you edit the flight control system.xml .... changing the 5 value to what you want will adjust the U forward and backward speed... There's similar for sideways W and updown W velocities

@Bomber

I just tested the silent branch

https://github.com/FGMEMBERS-NONGPL/AH-1/pull/1/files

I wonder if you approved this changes so I finish the merging?

The only difference should be that no errors pop up in FG2020.2. The rest of the craft seems behaving well.

Let me know

I guess the failure to perform autorotation is the only disappointment.... 5kts or 35kts I'm not fussed... this value should possibly be adjusted by the pilot using a variable pot to meet the occasion... it wouldn't be difficult to do

but the autorotation is related to the rotor issue giving segfaults, correct? can it be simulated elsewhere?

It's possible it could be fooled.... I'll have a look after work.

3 updated files for you... you now have a variable pot to control the range of hover vector velocities between 5kts and 35kts... keys i and o
max upward and downwards is 0.5 of the value... and watch out because it'll have a max height at which point it'll run out of roll dampening.

had to update the hud to take this into account and also the flight control system

regards

Simon

Quick question. What this scorpio's ceiling? I was doing some mountain hoping and couldn't clear a peak. Like it would not dare go that high. (not real big mountain, but needed like a 4Kft high to pass over)
