Bell UH-1
Re: Bell UH-1
I'd like to see how it flys too.... so that makes 3 of us

Oh guys I gota tell ya it's looking very good...
successful take-off, fly round and land. Got a couple more things to do and then I'll post up a link Saturday at the very latest.

Another question :
I'm observing that the helicopter rolls better to the right than left....is that how they left the FCS or is it evened out ?

Re: Bell UH-1
Your model is becoming more realistic day by day. It is a natural reaction of the CCW rotors. Required torque is always higher for left roll.

Struggling with anti torque at low speed at present...
If you fly it like you stole it, it fly's great.... But like it's ya Grans and it's a challenge.
At high speeds the h & v stabs are all controlling...
I think I might release it 'as is' and see what the feedback is.

If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it?

"Dirty" air produced by main rotor reduces tail rotor efficiency as expected.
I am very excited to fly with your best of the best

Re: Bell UH-1
Well it's not correct FCS wise but it's ok for some feedback

Re: Bell UH-1
ok replace the propulsion file in the systems folder with this update
I had two PID's in series in the control loop, makes the second one unsteady.

It's still a challenge for twisty users, might be too much so.... time will tell.
