I don't mind people telling the truth. I do mind people ramming it down peoples' throats with a lot of long-winded and rude posts.
I disliked this whole business before moderators were involved.
Also, you need to study your English some more. "Prove" does not mean "made void" or "showed to be untrue"

By the way, are you chaps fighting like this because you believe you are right or because you can't stand being wrong?

Because we can prove, backed by more than sufficient evidence, we are right.

Now, I haven't exactly been around on the fg forums for six months, nor did I have any clue that people over there had an issue with the fgmembers repo and the "official" fg repo, so I'm not gonna start vehemently supporting a side here. I do think it's unfortunate that the two of you were banned, and the MP subforum will certainly be drier without you guys. I respect that both sides of the argument have contributed to the overall advancement of FG, and imo, that's all that matters.

@HOM001:
Nobody expects you to take sides. This is a free speech forum but it serves also to continue for example communication about MP flight events like the USA Tour. I am currently busy with a lot of other things outside of FG, but that was anyway about to come (some TV work, my serial killers, a new book, there is a life outside of FG), but that doesn't mean, I am out of flying or in my case maybe more relevant, out of plane tinkering. It's a bit sad, that the ban brought for example the work on the 727 to a grinding hold for now, but hey, FGMEMBERS still exists and can be used for group development, so nothing is really lost but the freedom of speech over there.

@Mig29pilot:
For example that FGADDON is as technical solution a bad one and that gatekeeping without any set or rules for the gatekeepers result in decisions based on who you know, not what you contribute to planes. See the Dash-controversity.

Also in the whole license issue: The CRJ700 was pulled as a GPL work from FGADDON ... and then SkyOps claimed, FGMEMBERS would have changed the license files. Wrong, it was as GPL on FGADDON. So either he changed it (in a misunderstanding that he can limit distribution on a GPL) or FGADDON changed it, that part I can't determine, but we can see, the CRJ700 is GPL. We have the protocols when it was pulled from FGADDON. So if needed, that is even court-level evidence.

Also in the issue of abusing moderator powers: The posts were backed up before StuartC deleted them. And more, StuartC openly admitted to act out of political expedience in his own posts. So as evidence, I would count his own confession.

On another matter: The step, the FG rulership took to publish such a manifesto demonstrates to everyone what is going on there. Other projects came in trouble with such sudden despotic measures, so what makes you think, FG will not? Say Google Summer of Code and there will be another one in 2016? Or SourceForge Project of the Month? Or distribution via the distribution channels of Linux distros? Those guys have kicked Open Office because there was suddenly a company behind it and even the company didn't do anything to make the software "unfree", they switched to LibreOffice (in the case of Ubuntu). So lets just wait what happens if they stumble over this manifesto.
I warned. After I warned, there was nothing left to me but to pray they wouldn't ... but they did. So, why do you try to blame me for that'?

A) You admit that FGMembers is a point you are angry about, and not just something the mods want to kick you for.
B) Since you seem so sure of yourself, perhaps you'd care to give me stuart's "confesion"?
C). Perhaps you'd care to write that in concise English and knock out some of those unnecessary comas. But I think I can translate; The world will see and not see freedom. To which I say, What isn't free about it? They aren't busting up FGMembers for all eternity. They only "Encourage" users to use FGAddon instead of FGMembers; and finally, they make no direct connection between the ban and FGMembers.

Wrong

A.) I admit, FG is at a point, I am sad about. And because I uttered an opinion and more worked for improving the whole, I got banned.

B.) You can't read, otherwise you could have read the copy of the manifesto he wrote, his post on the dev-list anf his posts on the flightgear forum. The "back from being banned thread" is full of them, here, we copied many of them in the "Warning thread". So, please read.

C.) English is not even my second language. Of course, a self-righteous little kid speaking just one language and even that not perfect has to demonstrate it's own delusions of grandeur by jumping on bi- and trilingual people. That shows only your mental incompetence.
But to make it easier for you to understand how ridiculous you are, just paragraph c of your post:
- Perhaps you'd ... undetermined contraction, formally invalid in this case because it actually leaves several interpretations of your statement open.
- to write that ... well, actually, THIS is a concrete accusativ object and would, if you would be so educated as you pretend therefore call for a "this"
- and knock out of the unnecessary commas. Wow! I know, American English speakers often leave commas out. Nevertheless, subordinate clauses and chained main clauses actually call for them. But the fact, that you leave out commas where they formally belong, doesn't mean you are right to do so.
- They aren't busting up ... really? You may want to try that wording in a 5th class essay to get a D ... if you're lucky!
- They only "Encourage" ... to your welcome info, "encourage" is a verbum and therefore not capitalized.
So far your claims about English. Du siehst aus wie ein Trottel, mais c'est la vie! And yes, my French is rusty. Now, they allegedly don't make a connection between banning and FGMEMBERS but actually, they wrote in the posts on the dev-list pages over pages about exactly that connection and refer to it in their manifesto. Therefore you may want to read first, what your political masters wrote before you get in contradiction to it. We know how that can end.

A) This is besides the point;
B) Shows where you got into English that you know nothing about the old temr of "busting up" which was around before both of us (unless you are 120 or so)
c) nevermind grammar (who bothers about grammar on an online forum may I ask?), I'm talking about sentence structure and rhetoric. Your arguing and writing takes five minutes to untangle.
