KC-137R family project

Postby J Maverick 16 » Tue Mar 22, 2016 9:11 am

Hi all, I'm working on an advanced tanker derived from the 707TT called KC-137R (ATAARS, Advanced Air-To-Air Refueling System) and I'd need some help with some development in areas where I'm not so good. Anyone could give me a hand in this?

Currently the aircraft looks like this:

you may want to look on this project
https://github.com/philefstat/KC
and see what can be of use there.

(it is, in summary, the same thing)

Hmm. I can help with programming some things, but not an expert in that area.

Well what I'd like to have:
- improved cockpit instruments (to have it similar to the real KC-135R)
- fixed 3D engines with correct texture
- remove some bugs regarding liveries and textures
- dual MP control for co-pilot and boom operator.
Also I need some help with the payloads to change form cargo to fuel.

Any volunteers for it?
Regards, Mav

Cockpit Dev is my specialty, so I'll start there :)
Do you have a git repo?

My project ain't public yet but I'll send you a dropbox link where you can download it and start to edit. I'll create the GitHub repo as soon as I can resume work on my other PC (the one I mainly use for FG, currently is KO).

About the cockpit, this is how it looks like now:

And I'd like to see something like (cockpit of the 707VIP, made by someone some months ago):

This was just an example, what you should look at is the real KC-135R cockpit:

Thanks for willing to contribute in this project.

Ok currently making the repo, will post the link as soon as it's done. It's quite big, about 135 MB so it takes some time to put everything together ;) .

Sounds great. Do you want it 707VIP style (PFD and ND replacing the steam gauges completely), or like the photos?
