That was fun. We made it to Peoria, IL

I try practicing the tracking of NDBs but wind was totally headwind. In any case "made it there" (TM)

Approaching Milwaukee's KMKE to final arrival before this weekend's USA Tour.
Using Terrafs and loving it!

Thanks G-SHOB for the reflective shaders in the aircraft. Looks stunning.
I had to disable the DME instrument. It was locking in "finalizing Instruments" and not loading. With the DME disabled it worked fine (weird!)

That is weird. It's OK here. I haven't touched anything to do with DME since I first set up the aircraft and plugged the DME receiver in from the C337.

EDIT: Are you sure it wasn't terrafs waiting for a connection?

Note that you can tweak the reflection shader in the livery XML file, or at runtime, by adjusting sim/model/livery/reflection-correction and ambient-correction. It's very difficult to know how it would look on another machine. Basically, the reflection correction adds more mirror effect, the ambient correction adjusts the brightness. Keep them in the range -0.3 to +0.3 or it all gets a bit too much.

Arrived to KMKE!
Though weather all the way. The VFR approach was hard to make, and finally the PAPIS guide me down! (saved by the bell)

Yes. I tried other aircraft. No problem. The pup did not want to load with the DME. Maybe something new on FGDATA?

Terrafs works amazing, no need to "wait" for connections, due to curl working flawlessly on the background, and the filesystem to be fuse-mounted.

It's so good you don't realize its there (perfection when it reffers to software).
It is almost as if you have the whole planet preinstalled.

Which part of the DME did you remove, and did you try it again with the DME still in there?

Havent try again. It failed consistently this afternoon, with the newest FGDATA (with submodules)

I got it to load without any problem, and without much issue, by simply cutting the DME cables with a tweezers

https://github.com/FGMEMBERS/Beagle-Pup/blob/master/pup-common.xml

Totally deleting line 127

Off course I ve got a nasal error complaining that is missing some code, but that meaning the DME was disabled. Nothing else failed, apparently.

Just tested again.
It works fine, actually.
It is just that it takes for ever loading the DME code. Maybe 40 seconds loading that.
Not related with terrafs (with or without takes equally lots of time)
