jwocky wrote:4.) Gear animation faster: Look for channel "gear" in the jsb-file, there you find a kinematik which sets the seconds for the animation. Just set the time lower

Is it this one:

Aircraft/KC-137R/KC-137R.xml:

Code: Select all

<kinematic name="Gear Control">
            <input>gear/gear-cmd-norm</input>
            <traverse>
                <setting>
                    <position>0</position>
                    <time>0</time>
                </setting>
                <setting>
                    <position>1</position>
                    <time>15</time>
                </setting>
            </traverse>
            <output>gear/gear-pos-norm</output>
        </kinematic>

Do I need to change the 15 in the <time> to make it faster?

EDIT: Yes it's that one, Josh if you have some time, change the 15 to 10 and it'll be perfect, I've tried it out and it works fine and realistic.

J-Mav, OK, remember I suck at JSB, but this looks simple enough!

UPDATED TO-DO LIST IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE (deadline July 28th):

1) Implement the new autopilot from the MD-88.
2) make a whole new AP panel in the center part of the cockpit (where the current one stays).
3) work on the boom operator office (new instruments, fix the point of view in RT (makes the rear aircraft part invisible), etc. + onox)
4) improve internal + engines sounds.
5) USAF liveries (ACI's job + J Mav)
6) work on fuel tanks and payloads (reduce available payload and add a standard load, increase fuel tanks load and implement fuel consumption while refueling, onox as reference).
7) improve ATA refueling (boom texture and model + code, onox model)
8) make the CDUs work properly + resize, reposition and retexture them.
9) put new radio comms under the throttle levers + TACAN instrument.
10) make the reverse thrust viewable on the engines display.
11) add a MFD between the two CDUs which works as TCAS, systems, and other.
12) 3D engines models: UV map, smoke.
13) work on both engineer and overhead panel (improve instruments and move sone from the eng to the oh).
14) Switch the "Autopilot view" to "Overhead panel view".
15) add 787-9 HUD to both pilot and co-pilot.
16) improve the magnetic compass instrument (make it fixed and place a new compass).
17) improve the trims.
18) add a few passenger seats to the cabin.
19) remove/move the "Rolex" in the middle of the cockpit.
20) make a whole new AP panel in the center part of the cockpit (where the current one stays).
21) implement MP dual control for co-pilot and boom operator.
22) remove cargo loaders.

This is the lot, then we'll have a break and start on the AWACS.

J-Mav,

I hope you know how much that is. I do not. I stress this: I DO NOT have alot of time anymore. My efforts will switch to the 747SP and MD-10 (Skyboat) for a while, as these are commitments I made before the KC-137R. I believe I mentioned this in an earlier post, I can try to help, but I can't do everything.

Well there are 3 months to do all that, we've already done a lot in about a month so we can manage to make everything in three months (I hope).
When this aircraft will be finished, it'll be a big one.

My, J Mav... you are not asking much, are you? He is not even online in Mumble.
He could be doing an exam, or sleeping, or eating...
