The Festival is HERE!!!!

Hi All

Welcome to the Fourth Edition of the Flightgear Festival, Spring 2016.
Our current location is "The Island Nation of the Rising Sun", Japan, which has been selected as our host nation by overwhelming majority.

In spite of initial criticism, the team of the Festival had done an outstanding Job bringing the Sceneries to a prime status.
A large number of enthusiasts joined also the team of controllers, for a very complete and exciting Festival, as the FlightGear Fest becomes a reference for coordination and massive Multiplayer activities.

Bring your enthusiasms. Pilot planes on the area during the next 48 hours, starting at 0:00 Zulu, May the 7th (SAT) and ending at 23:59 on May the 8th (SUN), half-year aloft the FSWeekend.

Organize mini-games with your pals.

Also, consider meeting with the Operation RedFlag FlightGear pals for some Military action and training. They will be hosting and centering acitivities around the Yokota Airbase (RJTY) on the outskirts of Tokyo.

If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it?

I'd love to fly that hondajet. That's such a nice plane. =[ Lil' bit jealous.

ANYWHO, crosspost from the main forums (for the record, I am not Raider1, I am pinto)...

Raider1 wrote:Hello all:

Operation Red Flag (OPRF) has been conducting missions out of Yokota today, and hopefully hasn't got in the way of festival ops. Unfortunately, we had a pilot come in today who was very disrespectful of everyone, using weapons against targets that were not involved in any sort of combat sim. This player has indicated that they will spawn in tomorrow under the callsign of members of our OPRF crew. If this happens, please know that it isn't our people doing this. The callsign today was "thegood", but could be anything tomorrow.

Our missions are tightly planned, and led by experienced people. Anything outside that isn't us, but rather an impostor.
