It's more a case of let's give em a row boat... hopefully they'll sail off into the distance and then sink.

Yes he pulled it a bit into core. Yet you can read it as "any fork is not bad in itself". Or you can be negative and react to the core-only bit.

But if Fgmembers as it stands is in competition.. hostile and adversarial. .... a fork will be pointed to as confirmation that we're all against FG.
It's not going to be seen as a parallel adventure..

Hello Bomber,
There is no use in wishing to sink the framework you build your application on. Let them build the framework by all means. And let application builders do as they wish with it. As is happening at this very moment. Fgmembers exists.
Kind regards, Vincent

Who cares that a few are not in sync with modern reality? It does not hurt me a bit. Let those fossils be.

Re: Responding to Wllbragg
Ai, what are you doing now, Hooray? You are completely undermining my positiveness about you.

And then this:
What are you afraid of? That some silly brains thinks something of you with his silly brains. You should be able to stand up for yourself against silly brains. Get a backbone! This is really not heterosexual (to avoid your sex paranoia).
Kind regards, Vincent

I have personally considered registering at their forum, especially when I disagreed with a number of actions (bans, censoring) that took place here - but I definitely didn't want to be affiliated with these kinds of rethorics

Re: Responding to Wllbragg
I like the fact that he called you insane.....
OK I stretched that a little but saying that Dr David was the only sane one over here kinda implies you're a bit gaga.

Oh, and Hooray, you do understand that it now takes you more than one positive posting to get me positive again, do you?

Re: Responding to Wllbragg
Well, see, I know, everyone gets a bit tired of this, but again, the examples from history strike. Reichspropagandaminister Goebbels also declared people who didn't agree with the wonderful world the Führer created as insane ... The interesting part is how such patterns repeat, in big and in small scale, isn't it?
But don't be sad, Vincent, I told you, his "positive step" was in fact a trap, an attempt to provoke us to a wrong step and drive wedges here. One can guess, he knew, some people here are always willing to interpret anything as "positive" because they want some peace. A lot of people want just peace and do their stuff. Dictators and their henchmen use that to achieve their goals. Hitler played appeasement politics with England, Kim-Jong-Il and then Kim Jong-Un in North Korea pulled the Obama administration over the table with their nuclear program. Stalin first tricked Ribbentrop and later Roosevelt with that trick. So, while on a much smaller scale, we got the same standard behaviour served as it was served a thousand times by other groups who see themselves as "in power" without any form of control, or, to speak it out openly "dictatorship regimes". So, you fell in a trap hole in which history has gathered already some damn big heads. Why does it always work? Because most people want nothing more than peace. Henchmen of dictators, especially their propaganda specialists, take this wish for peace and twist it, wave it like a carrot in front of them. It's always this "do what the Führer wants and you have peace".
Now, lets see, what he really said. He said, he wouldn't consider a fork as necessarily bad. Of course not, he thinks, we are basically three contributors. No offense, but you are a user, you don't count, you are, according to Hooray's own words only a leech. So he thinks, he can trick us into wasting our time and resources and have us die. I have to give Hooray though, he understands his mass psychology. To label David as "contributor" even he labels other users as "leeches" has a nice touch, at least on the rather cynical level of manipulation. It keeps David open as soft point to drive more wedges in the future and at the same time, serves to sow suspicion in our group against David by marking him as "sympathetic" to Hooray and by that to Curt the Führer. David, I'm afraid, Hooray is painting a cross hair on your back.
The problem is, that dictatorial regimes, as certain types of psychopaths and religious based terrorist groups have a tendency to something like "scorched earth" and "endgame" fantasies. When the once powerful lose ground, when the extremist religious leaders see, they can't hang on anymore, when a "successful" killing series approaches the end and the hunters close in, there is this fantasy of going out with a blaze and leave nothing for the enemy. ISIS is doing it currently, Hitler did it with explicit scorched earth orders, Hideko Tojo proclaimed the "war death of the 100 million", Saddam Hussein tried to proclaim all Iraquis would rather die than to surrender to the American troops, .... yada yada yada, nothing new, always the same mechanism. And our dear friend Hooray has lately thought loudly about pulling the plug on MP, arguing that MP attracts users (or leeches as he calls them, you know, people like you, Vincent or David). Which in a way is the scorched earth fantasy because it would end FG as a public project that can be actually used by people. So, now, in this context, his idea of a fork for the binaries is more along that line of thinking, the attempt to do as much damage as possible before the house of cards crashes.
Given, that this is his third attempt in a week, together with Bugman's frantic activity to promote the dictator's ideology beyond that what the dictator himself sanctioned (speaking of the manifesto ... manifestos are such a textbook classic, jeesh), with Stuart's willingly to silence every opposition harsher and faster than in a long time (you know, mass executions by the SS and the Kempetai in 1945 come to mind) ... this is not a nice picture. It red flags, that there is a tendecy rather to destroy everything than to negotiate or leave anything to the perceived enemy.

Free speech can never be achieved by dictatorial measures!
