Compiling terragear is anything but a newbie task
You are set to frustations, and will need to persist hard to get anywhere.
I did ssh log into SM computer and installed him terragear myself. I think that's a better pathway for you right now. think about it.

Then what you need to do is
1) enable ssh
2) create an account for me
login: israel
3) you will need to give israel a sudo ALL level

4) I will need to know your ip, and have you create a secret pwd for me (via email so its partly close). My first step as I do 1st login will be changing the password to strenght security bilaterally.
Then, I 'll have an account to log in your computer and do as I please
Luckily for you my only interest is getting terragear to run for you
Otherwise, you will need to keep trying into compiling terragear succesfully by yourself
If that's the case, go to the "building terragear thread" and ask there, as to not deviate the interest of this thread within India dev.
