IAHM-COL's BeatificationHi All,
I wonder if from now on you should be calling me "your sanctity IAHM-COL"!
But I just got the exclusive honor of inventing the fictional ICAO code of
the Holy-Pad___Explanation___
As a side-track of the presidential leg, and noticing this is all about transporting heads of state...
Well... it happens that the
Vatican City (or the Holy See), is a recognized autonomous administrative entity (in other terms, a country on it's own right). In this point of view, in the center of Rome -- Italy, the Vatican City is the smallest country of the world by area.
An airport does not fit on in. But this "country" only aerial hub is the helipad used mostly exclusively by the Holy Father, or high church officials (and rumors said, recently some very needed urgent patients of a neighbor Hospital). This helipad's official name is
Code: Select all
Portus helicopterorum Civitatis Vaticanae,
, which translates to English (from Latin) as
"The Helicopter Port of the City of the Vatican", and which I very familiarly reffer as to
The Holy Pad.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vatican_City_HeliportAs you can see from the Wiki, this heliport has no IATA or ICAO code.
Was I saying? oh yes...
As a side-track of the presidential leg, and noticing this is all about transporting heads of state, I decided to create for the database the Holy See Heliport, since it was not present at all in the database.
After making it, I asked the Gateway guys, to allow me to upload an unexistent ICAO airport.
They replied, that I had to give a fictional ICAO code, following these rules:
X = For Fictional
LI = For regional ICAO prefix (most /all Italy)
NN = two more digits or letters that I invent myself, and thus, creating the only unofficial ICAO code for the Holypad.
*(by now you probably know that unofficial is my thing
)*
Accepting this sanctification, then I decided to name it XLIVC (X for fictional, LI for Italian, VC for Vatican City).
And once this was approved,
I had the honor of submitting the layout as seen in the screenshot below
.
Now, another head of state that has at least his proper landingpad.
