What type of music do you listen to?

It was actually quite interesting, because I first saw The Roots back in the 90's after they released their first full length album, and like you said, very very impressive. Then I saw them like three years ago, and again still really impressed after all this time. I mean, Questlove played the drums for 2.5-3 hours straight! AND he was directing the band and choosing guest artists and songs while he was playing, without the beat suffering. I knew he was bad-ass, but dang man.....

I will check out the hardcore bands you mentioned. I know absolutely nothing about them.

I must say I'm a rock/metal fanatic...
So I listen to a lot of AC/DC and Metallica. I also enjoy other rock bands/singers (too much to write here).
I love listen to Kid Rock and country music.
I personally hate techno music and all that stuff, even if a few songs are hearable (the only DJ I appreciate is StuartC of FGUK).
Also, I'm fond of the kind of music you'd listen in the Sixties and Seventies during the Vietnam War (House of the Rising Sun to mention one).
Then, as I think you'd imagine, I often listen to the Top Gun soundtracks.
When I was younger I was a true Michael Jackson fan, now I'm not listening to his songs a lot, even if they were the only ones I listened some time ago.

60/70's are great, but 80's are quite different. Then we got toilet going George and child molesting Micheal. Not that the behaviour is a problem, but the "music" is horrible.

Best to post stuff I like. Progressive 60~70's rock, Indie-alt 70's~80~90's rock, Cold Wave, Post Punk, Pre-techno electronica and the resurgence of mellower Millienial ( i.e. 2000 era ) music like the Shins, Modest Mouse, Bark Psychosis, Death Cab, Blue Aeroplanes. and all of the Athens, Georgia Jangle-NeoPsych of the early and mid 80's. Also like modern World Music, Bahia Festival Samba-Reggae to Japanese Anime soundtracks.
