Changi - Singapore by Merlion [And beyond]
Re: Changi - Singapore by Merlion
I will do a comprehensive work since it looks interesting. Will look into using osm coastlines and streams.....

Here is the problem.
The red lines are from the OSM coastline.

Re: Changi - Singapore by Merlion
OSM doesn't provide shapefiles for the Singapore-Malaysia area (only as .osm). So had to differentiate it into roads and streams first.
Roads
Streams
Purple is the v0_landmass while green is the cs_landmass.

If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it?

Re: Changi - Singapore by Merlion
I had pushed the stream and road landclass to TerraGit. You can start with ogr decode.
I'll push the rest today itself.

OK.
I noticed the v0 town is shy... much.
I'm running osm2city.

Re: Changi - Singapore by Merlion
I prefer the osm2city buildings so much more than the urban landclass. It looks much better.
And when I checked Singapore, it was nicely modeled on osm. So it should be nice.

Re: Changi - Singapore by Merlion
yeah. But I think the osm2city sits better on an urban landclass than in forests.
Im running osm2city, I already removed the buildings not to construct too.
I agree with you. All singapore is nicely os-mapped.

Ok I'll edit it.
Also tell me how it goes with ogr-decode and the (roads+streams).
