Hi Richard,

Welcome on the forum where it is forbidden to be afraid to speak up your mind freely :-)

As everyone says, i think in principle planes should not be deleted. I see only one good test that can justify it: Go to the developers and ask: Is my version where you would have wanted to bring the plane if you had more time, capabilities, etc... If yes, then it is the same plane, else it is another plane.

I guess that is what you kind of did.
