I just saw this movie and I am completly blown away by their practical effects.
The movie was good too, in terms of overall feel. I wished that Nolan would fill in the beach a bit more with CG soldiers - 300,000 soldiers on the beach looked like it was 3000. That, and only 3 spitfires in the skies. On the wide scale the practical effects start to fail. Anyway, minor nitpick. It was good. Especially the air sequence (the water landing).
