There's a youngish woman and a, well not old, but mature man, at least as controllers at Maiquetia.

Accents can be so terrible. I remember when I started listening to liveATC, I tuned in to Barcelona and for the next half an hour tried to determine whether they're speaking Spanish or English. Then I tried UK but UK was not covered because of some weird outdated law. So I ended up listening to the USA airports and thus learning everything the USA way.

You know, in half of those places, I wouldn't even understand what those guys want from me ... can you imagine a real life ATC yell at me Jomo-style because he thinks, I'm ignoring him intentionally?

Something is happening at JFK...
A whole pile of departures got handed over to North Tower, the south 31L controller seemed to be in a bit of a panic.
Anyone any news? Just 2 minutes ago, if you want to check the archives.
2052 UTC, if you are waiting to depart, change to tower 119.1. New voice. Possibly the other controller had a medcal problem.
