If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it?

It would be great the developers to release the aircraft (the 3d model and similar fly dynamics result) to the FG community under a GPLed license.

What about first asking them if we may use their flying butt form? ;)

Well, you can do that, but legally, since they put out images into the public domain, it is unnecessary. We, means, some of our talented people, can always build a 3d model of it.

I am just remembering the issue with the HondaJet.
Much work was put into that aircraft, HondaJet was not asked before and then they forbit it. I just don't want this to happen again. Normally, they are happy to help (that's what I experienced), sometimes also they don't answer at all :()

Well, yeah, Honda bluffed and Curtis made in his pants, that is, what happened. Since Honda had delivered jets and even put images and brochures on the internet, it was all public domain. Honda would have never come through with making their jet "unseen". But well, ask them, tell us what they say.

Well, you can release it for everyone and look what happens... :P
But ok, send them a message, let's see what they'll answer :)
